About Us

Dan & Nikki met at college and after travelling & diving for a year went to Newcastle upon Tyne to study Marine Biology and Zoology. We continued to follow our interest in scuba diving to study Shellfish Aquaculture on the Masters course at the Ocean Science Department in Menai Bridge on Anglesey.

It was one of the best years of our lives on the Masters course, it is very much a 'work hard play hard' ethos and with the great community spirit of the SOS department and Menai Bridge itself we just didn't want to leave Anglesey after we graduated! Menai has some great pubs and with the stunning Menai Straits on the doorstep going diving, fishing or kayaking is literally just a walk down the street. Following our Masters we worked in Ocean Sciences and on a local fish farm before turning our hand to property renovating. We now let out 2 postgraduate student properties in Menai Bridge which we both renovated ourselves. 

Our main business is based at Llanlliana, www.topofwales.com which is a beautiful farm on the North Coast of Anglesey. We initially moved here into caravans, with ideas of a shellfish farm, but as the farmhouse was derelict we spent 3 years renovating the house into a luxury holiday let for large groups. We have since expanded to a second large holiday let, Ty Glas Beach House. During this time we had our wonderful 4 sons, our oldest has just started his first year at university.  Living on Anglesey and being self employed means we can fully commit to running and maintaining our properties professionally and provide a level of service that we would have liked when we were students.
